Laura's environmental science background includes monitoring surface water quality, managing critical habitats, developing and leading Tampa Bay's artificial reef program, supporting GIS initiatives, managing databases, securing grants, and coordinating projects across public and private partners.
She also created a GIS internship program and reviewed candidates, giving her direct experience with the gap between what applicants bring and what hiring teams can quickly understand from a resume, application, or interview answer.
Environmental job seekers do not just need generic job-search advice. They need help translating real interests and real experience into roles, language, materials, and conversations that make sense inside this field.
What that means for you
You get guidance shaped by field work, program management, hiring conversations, professional networks, and the confusing gap between "I care about the environment" and "I know how to move forward."
